Recently, local steel manufacturer NLMK invited members of the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce and WLS to their facilities for a 1st-hand look at what they produce and how their steel is made and formatted to meet Customer's needs. NLMK Pennsylvania is located in Farrell and is the largest of the NLMK Facilities in the US. Before touring the production floor and campus, NLMK Pennsylvania's HR Director, Tom Taborek gave the group a history of NMLK, examples of where/how their products are used, and how their products are made (from start to finish).
Afterward, the group suited up in safety gear and was given an up-close and personal look at the steel being reshaped and rolled. It was a very unique and interesting experience to take part in and witness. NLMK is one of the largest employers and community participants in the Shenango Valley and you can check out part of what they do in the video below.
